After the rain

A 12-second silent animation made through a Cue experimental session, with human review. It began as a storyboard, became a scene defined in code, and was rendered frame by frame.

How it was made

  1. Storyboard

Define five shots across 12 seconds: rain on dark water, the last drop, breaking light, a revealing landscape, and the title. Set the palette and transitions before building the scene.

  2. Code the scene

Build the scene in HTML and Canvas, with a time-based rendering function so individual moments can be inspected. This experiment used installed local fonts; another environment may render them differently.

  3. Render the film

Capture 288 frames at 24 frames per second and encode them with FFmpeg into a 1280 × 800 MP4. The finished film is 12 seconds long and has no audio track.

  4. Review and revise

Inspect sample frames and the poster, check the encoded file, and review playback. Feedback during the experiment led to a correction for mobile player overflow. These checks describe this sample, not a guarantee of one-click reproduction.

This is a team experiment, not customer work. Cue was used in the experimental creation session; the workflow also required a local browser, Node.js, FFmpeg and human review. It is not a claim that every Cue installation includes these tools. No narration was produced for this version.
